Description
With a basic pattern block, we reach farther into design by learning to move a dart on a bodice pattern to create different design lines without sacrificing fit. This method includes principals of the “design line” and how many changes lead back to the basic block, thus maintaining the natural flow of the shape of the body. This class is about learning to drape on a paper flat pattern. This technique ensures that a changed dart–whatever the design–can be duplicated many times over in the case of mass production.
